Write_Up100 Challenge: Phoning it in
It's Sunday morning, the phone rings... 189 words.
ETA: And of course this is a moment in my ongoing Elliot/Agt. Toby series. D'oh.
Yawning expansively, Elliot fumbled for the phone, dragged it over. Face still half-smooshed in the pillow, he growled, “Yeah?” Pale, wintry sunlight spilled through the windows and he was positive he’d only fallen into bed a couple of hours ago.
“Well, and good morning to you too, Detective.”
He shifted around, blinking against that light. “Toby?”
“Wow, he remembers.”
It hadn’t been that
long since they had last spoken … it just felt like it. Right now Elliot could feel the smile slowly spreading across his face as he relaxed against the pillows. “Good to hear your voice,” even if he was halfway across the country. “How’s Denver?”
“Getting snowed in as I left.”
He blinked again, tried to suppress the tiny flutter of hope that wanted to get out. “So, where are you now?” Off to chase some new lead to Timbuktu, probably. He was so sure of that, Toby’s reply didn’t register immediately. “What?”
“I said I’m downstairs.”
Brows drawn together, he needed another moment. “Downstairs here?”
Voice warm enough to chase away any winter chill, Toby said, “Yeah, Elliot, here. I’m home.”
So was he, now. Current Mood: sleepy

Just what he wanted
this wasn't what I had intended, but it's what came out...
Coming in at 132 words( Just what he wantedCollapse )
Note: Talia Massey was a character played by Traci Lords (the bar chick in Eddie's bar) since her part in Wanted didn't have a name. Current Mood: crazy

WriteUp100 Flash Fic Challenge #2: Make a wish
Okay, a couple ways to play this.
(1) You, being the all-powerful author, are akin to a magic genie (yeah, as opposed to all those non
magical genies running around *g*) and can grant Detective Elliot Stabler his fondest wish. Which, of course, might also be your
fondest wish for him.
Or (2) you can go crack!fic with it, with Elliot actually encountering a genie (hey, Mulder did), or discovering a magic lamp, or whatever devices can be employed to grant someone a wish.
It can be canon or AU, and special guest appearances by anyone played by Lee Tergesen are welcome.
This runs for the month, and a minimum of 1000 words is always desirable, but not mandatory; and there is no word limit.
Have fun.ETA: Visual spin welcome. :)
WriteUp100 Challenge #3: Phoning It In
Well, start small and build, huh? *g*
OK, let's see if this next set of challenges sparks a few folk...
It's Sunday morning. The telephone rings. Who's on the other end?
Some keywords/phrases to help grease the wheels (using any or all is entirely optional):accident ... yada yada yada ... dread ... Easter? ... Oh, fuck it. ... possibilities ... spring
It can be canon, episode-related, or AU.
Have fun.ETA Again, visuals good.

Write_Up Challenge 2
Ooh, this is late. But so much has been floating around my head recently.
Coming in at 131.
"She was supposed to let me see them this weekend! We're not even divorced yet and she's already making demands and changing her mind whenever she wants!"
Cragen pulled a chair in front of his detective. "Sit. Calm down."
Stabler collapsed into the chair and put his head into his hands, exhaling loudly. "Sorry, Captain," he mumbled. "It's just that I haven't seen the kids in weeks, and she promised
"Did you sign the papers yet?"
He shook his head. "They're still sitting on the table in the dining room. I keep thinking there's a way to fix this, but...the kids must be wondering where I am."
"Elliot," Cragen said, his voice comforting, "your kids love you."
He sighed. "Maybe...maybe I just need to hear it from them once in a while."

Weekly Challange #2: Express Yourself
Thank you to everyone who took part in the first challenge. That was a pretty impressive turnout, actually, and let's see if we can keep that rolling along.
This time out, and thinking about the drabble chris_baby
posted today, here's your chance to let Elliot speak. Let him vent, give someone a piece of his mind, confide in someone he can trust, have a heart-to-heart with Kathy or the kids or his siblings... Whatever tickles your fancy.
If anyone wants to to try a graphics approach to this, go for it.
Have fun, and remember, "Don't sweat the word count." :)

Drabble Challenge #1: Free-for-all
I just watched Charisma and, damn, I felt angry. This you might find as nothing more than me blowing off some steam.
Current Mood: cranky
And just for the record, I honestly believe Stabler's slow decent into anger during S6 didn't stem only from his childhood, but also had a lot to do with how his co-workers (and Kathy?) were treating him. And now for the gist of this post... *g*
Set during Charisma, after leaving the station because Ohsowise!Huang felt it was necessary...

Flash Fic Challenge #1: DVD Bonus Scenes
This will run throughout the month, and if you can bring something in at around 1000 words that would be wonderful, but again, don't sweat word counts.
Anyway, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to pretend that all seasons of SVU, including the current one, have been released on DVD, they are in your happy hands, and lo and behold if they aren't chockful of never before glimpsed scenes that wound up on the cutting room floor. Look, there's Elliot in the shower, nothing left to the imagination as he lathers up!
You eagerly work through them all, amazed at all the great stuff that was deemed unnecessary to include in the episode as it aired. Fantasies are fulfilled; that
scene played out longer, and the way you had hoped it would.
Write that, the Elliot scene you've always wished would happen, that could have happened in this episode or that one, that you would have given a kidney to see. It can be angsty or humorous, sexy or sad, whatever you're in the mood for. ~posting template~
Pairing (if applicable):
And put it behind a cut tag, please.

Drabble Challenge #1: Free-for-all
If you are inclined, write 100 words about Elliot. A follow up to an episode, a glimpe into what's going through his head about the job, his life, whatever might strike your fancy. Have fun, and don't sweat the word count.
The challenge will run from now until Sunday, March 12.
